New church, Piancamuno

New church, Piancamuno

The new church is in the municipality of Piancamuno, province of Brescia, in the hamlet of Beata.
The building has a regular elongated shape, rectangular plant, with a short-beveled side, along the sides of an octagon.
It consists of a basement floor with classrooms, conference room and service rooms and a ground floor with the vast hall of the church proper with spaces gathered for the sacristy in the back presbytery, surmounted by a reduced intermediate floor, intended for service.
On the North-East side the bell tower rises about 25 m high, the roof is in segments of inclined slopes with different slopes for the classroom and the presbytery.
The materials chosen are the concrete for the underground part, for the bell tower, for the vertical bearing structures on the ground floor, in particular the pillars supporting the roof. Laminated wood was chosen for the covering.
